iPad - Quick usability test with a paper prototype

The users: 











3 users, 3 men, between 18 and 26 years old, 1 iPad user, 1 iPhone user and 1 Android user.



The results:

Home screen:

Wrong expectation - One user guest to flick the picture of the homepage screen to see more items.

Critic - All users criticized that the navigation element covered a part of the picture with the models and the new collection.

Wish - All users wished there was a tab bar navigation at the bottom of the screen.



Costume Doll:

Critic V1 - One user criticised the tool bar's design, saying "The tool bar is ugly".

No idea V1 - One user didn't understand the button "Wardrobe".



Wardrobe:

Wrong expectation - All users would touch on a item in the wardrobe to change it. Nobody expected a drag and drop gesture.

Wrong expectation - One user said he would not expect a drag and drop gesture in a popup layer. He said these are two different levels and he would only expect a drag and drop gesture on the same level.

Critic - One user said that it is not a good idea to use a drag and drop gesture when the elements are in a scroll list. It could be that interaction problems would happen.

Wrong expectation V2 - Two users guest that a small plus icon would appear after adding a new item.

Wrong exception V2 - One user expected that he could add an item to the shopping basket with touching the plus button.

Critic V2- All users criticised that the price is covered by the wardrobe popup.

Wish V2 - One user wished for a small label with the price of the items, and another user said he would like to see the total pice at the navigation bar next to the button with the shopping basket icon.



Wardrobe and popup for colour and size:

Wrong expectation - One user thought that the save button would save the whole doll.

Wrong expectation - One user expected to see the size of the doll change when he chose one of the sizes.

No idea - One user didn't understand the sense of changing the size.



Wish - One user wished for function favorites with information about the brands.

Wish - One user wished to change the face of the doll with a personal picture.

Finally 2 users would prefer V2 and 1 user would prefer a combination of V1 and V2.
